Turning

 I was practicing turnarounds at work and wanted to try to do one of this girl since she's rather graphic (I ended up changing her design so it would work though...and her clothes, so its almost like a new character) She's unfortunately armless at the moment but I guess it was good practice.

Beardly

I need to draw more male characters...so I'll try to keep exploring these beardly men (and the schoolkid).

Colorin's

Trying out the whole "black and white value painting converted to color" technique that I've seen everyone and their mother use at some point. Also using gradient maps in PS to add the color...though it is sort of borderline "painting with sliders" it does give an interesting basis.

Waah, so this is a project I'm finally finishing. This one is for the GDG book; theme for mine was plankton. Trying to choose between these color versions now. Experimenting with more simple flat coloring styles.

Part of the drawing I'm doing of a goddess (Arianrhod). Still have to draw a bunch of pieces of it (the background wheel mostly)...though I did a super junky thumbnail of the general idea I'm aiming for. I'll tell more about it when its done/closer to completion (which will be soon).

The Great Race

A side project we have the option of doing at work is to draw out some designs for the characters in "The Great Race" (which we ended up watching). Hopefully I'll end up finishing these up...for now I'm just practicing drawing quickly with the grease pencil. Not really getting a total likeness yet, but getting somewhere, at least.

I haven't died (after a month of not posting), just got an apprenticeship at ReelFX and have been dealing with all the moving and madness that comes along with that. Either way I'll try to put together a post here...and start putting up some drawings. Just watched Avatar (the series, not the movie :/) so here's an Aang ^_^
